Finding the perfect party cover up with Blue Vanilla

*Leather jacket: Blue Vanilla, £55
Black velvet crop top: New Look, £5 (sale)
Black high waisted jeans: Miss Selfridge £12 (sale)
Heels: Next Outlet £13

As we’re in the centre of party season with Christmas quickly passing by and New Year approaching, I thought the perfect post would be to feature my favourite party cover up. As it’s currently freezing outside (I hope it’s not too obvious that I was shivering in these photos - oh the sacrifices we make for our blogs!) there is no chance I will be venturing out without some form of a coat.

The only problem is, none of us want to ruin a pretty or girly outfit with a huge black coat draped over us. No matter how warm that coat may be, I know I don’t want to be sporting the ‘tent’ look this season. So, my ultimate party season essential is to opt for a leather jacket. But, to make it weather appropriate, how amazing is this leather jacket plus faux fur from Blue Vanilla?!

Yes, you read correctly, this jacket comes with the faux fur piece (which is usually around £10 for a good quality one alone unless you’re lucky enough to find one in the sale). It makes this jacket a really affordable statement item to add to your wardrobe… and the best bit: you can unzip the fur for the warmer months making this jacket perfect for all year round!

The jacket I’m wearing is a size 10, it’s quite spacious and baggy making it good to wear over thicker items such as wooly jumpers. But, if you’re looking for a more fitted style, definitely size down for this particular one. Overall, it’s a very nice quality, soft and comfy. I also love the small details such as the ribbed pattern on the sleeves and the golden coloured zips, each adding a touch of sophistication and I believe making it look a little more expensive than it is.

Blue Vanilla

Before collaborating with Blue Vanilla, I had always been intrigued by their clothing stands in New Look. They offer unique styles at great prices whilst maintaining good quality. I’ve also noticed they do great sales, with currently up to 60% off... so why wait, check them out now: and treat yourself to a post Christmas gift!

Finally, HAPPY NEW YEAR! May your 2017 be filled with happiness and joy :)

*Massive thank you to Blue Vanilla for sending me this gorgeous jacket!

My love affair with pink

*Coat: Stylewe
*Jumper: Stylewe
Skirt: New Look, sale £10
Heels: Next Outlet, £13
Choker: DIY ribbon

I was recently contacted by StyleWe, an American online fashion store. After lots of scrolling through their many designers, I decided they'd be a perfect collaboration as they're not your ordinary fast fashion store. They host a whole selection of up and coming designers, providing unique items you wouldn't ordinarily find on the high street. One thing I did notice was the prices being a lot higher than I would spend, but, they have a very handy solution to that: they have huge flash sales offering up to 80% off designer collections on a regular basis. So, what's not to like?! Get browsing their site at:

The items I chose from StyleWe include this gorgeous pink coat and great fitting white jumper with bell sleeves. With these foggy days, there's nothing better than a bold coloured coat to brighten everything up. I have been seeing pink everywhere recently and my inner 5 year old self (who was truly obsessed with everything pink) has been wanting it all!

I also couldn't say no to the bell sleeve trend. It's a little out there, and different. To find it in a jumper design was perfect and it will probably be one of my most worn jumpers this season.

Overall, the items arrived in perfect condition and the quality of the materials is what you would expect for a higher priced garment. StyleWe has been a great new find, and I hope you are able to find items you like on there too :)

Hello 2017

Looking back on the last time I posted a blog photoshoot based in cornfields (see here), I find it hard to believe how fast time has gone. Only a few months ago I was prancing around in summer clothes, happily taking in all the vitamin D as though winter was never going to come. My law studies had finally come to an end and I was enjoying a brief glimpse of freedom before beginning to look for a job. Along with freedom came fulfilling my passion of photography and fashion and so I decided to start this blog. Since then, I have been so lucky to have had some incredible opportunities from great companies. I've been introduced to ahhh-mazing online fashion websites and shops I may never have come across otherwise. It was beyond my wildest dreams that a company would like my content enough to collaborate and I still feel overwhelmed and so excited each time I receive an opportunity via email. Blogging has opened my eyes to a whole new world of fashion, as cliché as that sounds.

With 2016 coming to a close, I thought it was fitting to thank each company that has contacted me and for every post that each of you have read along with every comment and like you have left. I appreciate every little thing.

2017 is a entire new journey, as I begin my career in Law. Blogging will still be something I will continue to love to do and I look forward to the 'new start' of a new year. I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.

*Huge shoutout to StyleWe for sending me these gorgeous items of clothes! :)

Transition into autumn clothing

A love of mine is...

comfy oversized jumpers. They are perfect for this weather (here in England), where it's getting awfully cold and tempting to just hide under a duvet sized coat instead. This makes big cosy jumpers my go-to outfit choice at the moment, but to add a little glam and jazz up a simple outfit, I have paired this one with a leather effect skirt. Leather skirts are all the rage at the moment and such a good item to invest in as they look good with nearly everything. Try pairing one with a statement blouse, a simple band tee or for a bold look a faux fur coat or gillet.

Jumper: H&M, £8
Coat: Vintage (my mums!)
Skirt: H&M, £5
Sunglasses: H&M, £2
Bobble hat: Primark, £2
Boots: H&M, £10

The perfect way to transition your wardrobe into autumnal attire is by introducing warmer clothes one piece at a time. Ordinarily, I would have paired a leather skirt with a small tee, and now it's a lot colder, I'm adding a warm jumper and swapping the sandals for boots. Neutrals, browns and burgundy colours are also all perfect for this season, and if you're ever in need of inspiration look to the trees and the fallen leaves for a beautiful blend of fall shades.

On another note, who's excited for Christmas?! I won't lie, I have been feeling the Christmas-sy mood and excitement for a while now. I think this season might just be as exciting as the hot summery months we left behind, the only downside (fellow fashion bloggers will relate) being how hard it is to take outfit pictures in these super cold temperatures! But, it's a great opportunity for exciting blog ideas and Christmas wish lists and this year I'm on the lookout for the perfect pair of cute wintery PJ's!

How to get clearer skin

The beginning of my skincare journey with you

Skincare is something I am really passionate about, and have been since I was around 17/18 years old. I am constantly drawn towards the skincare aisles in shops such as Superdrug and Boots and could spend hours searching for the next product that claims to clear my skin in no time. In fact, it doesn't stop there, the amount of times I have googled how to get clear skin is probably a scary number. It has got to the point now where my bathroom cabinet is overflowing with new and different products, some of which work, and some which made my skin worse. After collecting lots of different brands and trying all sorts of things over the past 5 years, it seemed fitting that I shared my opinion and honest reviews of these items to help you out and guide you towards products that are worth the splurge, and those that are not. I am in no way an expert in skincare, but I'd like to share my experiences of various products with you.

Background to my skin

My main areas of concern are my forehead and chin which can get very oily, whilst my cheeks tend to stay clear. I also have very sensitive skin. But, my skin is always changing, sometimes it will be crystal clear all over for months, and other times (such as now!) I will have to endure a never ending breakout. You know, the ones where you have finally got rid of one spot and the next day another pops up right next to it. Nightmare!

So, here is my first skincare product review, on a much talked about brand: Mario Badescu.

For years now I have been trying an array of different products for skincare with every hope that my skin will somehow miraculously clear overnight, only to be let down when I don't have that much coveted glowing, dewy skin in the morning. Wishful thinking, right? I've now come to terms with the fact that a product isn't going to change your skin in a few days, sometimes it will take weeks or even months.

But, I'm too impatient to wait. When I wake up with a pesky spot or even a breakout, the last thing I want to do is cover it in makeup and potentially make it worse. So, when I came across an overnight solution claiming to shrink your spot overnight, I couldn't wait to give it a try. (And yes, I did come across this product via Kylie Jenner's snapchat story, so thanks Ky!)

Mario Badescu: Drying Lotion
Price: Cheapest I can find is £13 on
Claims: The lotion claims to clear up and soothe unsightly whiteheads overnight without irritating the surrounding skin.
Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Aqua, Calamine, Camphor, Sulfure, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Glycerin, Salicylic Acid.

How to use/how it works:
Using a cotton bud, dip it into the pink sediment at the bottom and apply straight onto your blemish, leaving it to dry overnight. Although it looks like you need to shake the bottle, don't, as the ingredients are supposed to be separated. A great advantage of this lotion is that it's targeted to a specific area of your skin, so the rest of your face doesn't have to suffer from unnecessary dryness. It also dries relatively quickly so won't create a mess of your pillowcase! Considering my skin will usually start burning or turn bright red with a strong product, I don't react to this one so I do believe their claim that it is suitable for all skin types, including very sensitive.

The million dollar question: does it work?
Notice my post title isn't how to get 'clear', but rather 'clearer' skin. And that's how I would describe this product. It helps to get clearer skin by reducing your pimple size overnight, and gets rid of the white head. But, there is no guarantee of completely clear skin as I'm always left with a strong red mark or still a slight red bump. So yes, your skin will appear clearer, but you're still left with red blemishes. Therefore, this lotion is ideal for smoothing out the texture of your skin for those who want to apply makeup/cover up on top, making your skin appear flawless.

Overall, it's not a treatment for acne, and it won't prevent any spots from rearing their ugly heads in the future. But, it is perfect for when you're on the go and need a quick fix. It's the ideal last minute rescue to shrink a spot and fits well as the fourth step to a cleanse, tone and moisturise routine.

Although this product has become a saviour, it's got quite a hefty price tag for such a small bottle, so I think instead of repurchasing this particular one, I'm going to shop around and look for alternative drying lotions to compare the results. I have heard good things about Origins "super spot remover", if you have tried it, please let me know!

The next thing I'd like to try from Mario Badescu's range is anything that claims to reduce red marks or scarring.

My rating: 4/5

Do remember that everyones skin will react slightly differently to these products, so do check out other reviews too :)

Do you have any experiences of spot removing products? Have you found one that works really well? I would love to hear about products you have used!

My first collaboration with Zaful

I am so excited to share this blog post today, focusing on an amazingly affordable store, 'Zaful'. I was more than happy to collaborate with this brand upon receiving an email allowing me to select items that suit my style. In fact, I was so in love with all of Zaful's items I could have spent hours browsing their site!

Affordable clothing is something I am passionate about. If you want to look a million dollars for a fraction of the price, Zaful is the store for you with all the latest trends covered at incredible prices.

*Dress: Zaful, £25
*Sunglasses: Zaful, £4
Cardigan: New Look, (sale £7)

Zaful aren't short of anything you may need, stocking the trendiest clothes, head turning accessories and shoes you can't help but add to your basket. Finding a killer outfit has never been so easy with Zaful. They also stock all the useful extras such as swimwear, activewear and if you have a special occasion, Zaful have a hand-picked premium collection.

My experience with Zaful

When I received these products from Zaful, I was very impressed with the packaging, they clearly take time and care to seal everything properly and it all arrived in perfect condition. I was very excited to open the parcels and the first thing I noticed was the quality of the material. Some satin dresses can be very thin and flimsy, but this one feels like quality, thick material giving the illusion of a high end item, but obviously at a high street price. Amazing!

This dress is the perfect nude colour, and from its shimmer, it can give off a slight rose gold tone in the sunlight. It ticks all the boxes for this autumns trends, being sweet satin and off the shoulder. Although now it's getting too cold to wear a dress alone, I paired it with this super fluffy and cosy cardigan from New Look for a daytime look. Swap this kind of style jacket for a faux fur coat paired with some sky high heels to nail this as an evening look.

I can't get enough of these sunglasses! I was sceptical about the quality when ordering them as they were SO well priced at $4.49, so around just under £4. But, you honestly would never know. They're as good as sunglasses you pay a decent amount for, so a definite style steal. I also love how they're mirrored but don't seem to attract my fingerprints all over the lenses, unlike some Primark pairs I've bought where I'm continuously rubbing off smudges!

If you're anything like me and live for sales, Zaful currently have 85% off selected lines. So, if you are looking for some style steals to update your wardrobe ready for the upcoming party season without breaking the bank, then look no further!

If you sign up to their email, you can also receive promotions and discounts! What are you waiting for... Check out their website!

My next post will be reviewing another item from Zaful, so keep an eye out!

Happy Friday! Have a lovely weekend everyone!

*A big thank you to Zaful for sending me these amazing items!

Get winter jacket ready with ASOS

Each coat I've picked out is under £40... thank ASOS for your new winter wardrobe!

(Every image is clickable and contains an affiliate link)

So, November is here already and Halloween has come and gone so quickly. That can only mean one thing for me, it's time to start the countdown to Christmas! What better way to get winter ready than to stock up on the staple item we're all on the lookout for now; an affordable coat.

First things first, I am loving faux fur jackets. Not only do they look like the comfiest and cosiest jacket money can buy, but with jeans weather now here, wearing one of these on top can completely re-vamp your classic look.

As always, my dusty pink colour obsession lives on. I couldn't pick between the top row of pink coats so I thought I'd add them all to my wishlist... why not, eh! To finish my top picks, I had to go for some chic nude coloured jackets, and for those prices, they're not far off a style steal!

Which is your favourite style of coat?

Cornfields and ripped denim shorts, a fashion bloggers dream

Todays post is brought to you from some more beautiful scenery. I can't resist a good photo opportunity and these cornfields make a picturesque background. I know at this time of year I should probably be swapping the corn for a pumpkin patch but I am yet to go pumpkin picking, so maybe that’s some inspiration for my next post!

Onto the clothes

Starting with the white shirt – I’ve customized this a little by tying a knot at the bottom, as it’s quite a loose fitting 'boyfriend style' shirt. With this outfit I preferred to have the shirt to pinch in slightly just above the hips giving a more flattering shape as my shorts are low waisted. Alternatively, it would look just as fitted tucked into the shorts instead. I personally love a crisp white shirt but if you want to explore with colours more, a great substitute would be a plaid shirt. Besides, whichever shirt takes your fancy, you'll always be on trend, so button up!

Top: Primark, £6
Jacket: Alcott, (10 Euros - bought in Naples)
Shorts: Zara (old stock)
Choker: Primark, £1.50 (set of 3)

I love these shorts, they were a staple piece I bought from Zara a while back and I can truly say I’ve got my wear out of them. They’ve been worn to festivals, shopping with friends and they’re perfect for a hot day. But it’s not just the summer they’re used for, with the cooler weather approaching and the new thigh high boot craze, they’re the perfect item to keep your pins looking longer and in proportion. Now, cut off ripped denim shorts are something most of us will own already, but if not I have a great tip for you… if you’re ever about to throw out some jeans that are too short or don’t fit as good as they used to, stop! Get out your scissors and get customizing instead! Chances are, your old jeans will look great as new shorts, literally cut them to your desired length, rip the edges of the material to give them a ragged, edgy look and voila!

I’m still on board with the choker obsession and there’s rarely an outfit that doesn’t include one recently, I love the extra detail and finishing touch they lend to an outfit. Also, for a pack of 3 for £1.50 from trusty Primark, you can’t really go wrong. They have a whole selection of different designs in at the moment so it might be time to start your collection too!

I realize in these photos you can’t see my shoes, but you’re not missing out on much – they were simple flats, but to dress up this look, some high knee boots or heeled sandals would match the laid back feel perfectly.

Casual nudes

Top: Primark, £6
Skirt: Miss Selfridge, £8 (Sale)
Rucksack: New Look, £8 (Sale)
Boots: Primark, £8

An entire outfit for £30, head to toe!

I am loving all things nude at the moment, so this off the shoulder nude top was one I couldn't just walk past when I spotted it in Primark... and when I tell you the price it'll be sold in your mind too: a mere £6!

I think denim and nude make a match made in heaven when styled together. So, I have paired it with the wardrobe staple denim mini skirt, which will still be wearable as the colder months approach by just adding tights or boots. This particular one is from Miss Selfridge, I love the details and the copper coloured buttons. This was also a bargain at only £8 in the sale (with student discount).

I'm now on the hunt for an affordable pair of knee high boots to get through the autumn. If you know of any, please leave a link in the comments below! :)

White lace dress

Dress: Topshop (sale) £12
Boots: H&M £24
Hat: New Look £6
Choker: Primark £1.50

I've always had a weakness for lace dresses, there's something so flattering and pretty about the material. I love everything about this particular one, from the off-the-shoulder style to the overall fit. One of the best things about a dress like this is its ability to be worn day or night, dressed down casual or worn for an occasion, it'll always make heads turn. A white lace dress also never goes out of fashion, so you can be guaranteed to look good.

Lace items in general are always a good buy, being so feminine and elegant. But to add edge and dress this look up, the perfect accessory for me is a hat. It gives that added touch of your own unique style.

I've recreated this look with some amazing buys below to get you weekend ready.
